My name is Michael Norwesh, and I am a graduate of Colorado State University. I studied business administration, with a concentration in marketing and international business. Skateboarding, film-making, marketing, traveling, and photography are a few of my biggest passions. I am a sponsored skateboarder and have won several awards for my skateboarding and filmmaking abilities. I also really love giving back to the skateboarding community by fundraising (Camp Goodbuddy), designing (New Deerfield Skatepark), building, cleaning, and maintaining (Eagle Scout Project) skateparks.
During my four years at Colorado State University, I took classes and lived in Barcelona for two semesters. My time abroad was genuinely life-changing as it allowed me to see the world from a new perspective, growing my intercultural communication skills and cross-cultural competencies. I have learned to be more empathetic, connect with others, and appreciate the profound differences in all cultures. My time living abroad, and having traveled to over thirty different countries, developed my passion for learning about new cultures.
Drawing upon my extensive skill set encompassing marketing, project management, skateboarding, photography, filmmaking, and editing, I have consistently applied these proficiencies to various roles. In my role as Project Engineer and Marketing Specialist at Norcon, Inc., I adeptly managed projects, procured materials, and upheld schedules. Concurrently, I played a pivotal role in refining the company's brand through photo editing, interactive proposal design, and video production. As Video Content Specialist at Woodward West, I produced a diverse array of content for social media and skillfully managed collaborations with professional athletes. Additionally, I spent three summers at Woodward East, mentoring and coaching young skateboarders, nurturing their passion and skill development.
My dream is to find a job where I can continue to do what I love while making an impact on the world.
